We are aware of a letter circulating in the media written by Ecobank. We find it surprising that a professional organisation would be writing to a company in which we have invested in with spurious allegations without copying us in said letter. 

The Honeywell Group categorically states that there is no judgement against the companies in question in any proceeding or case where any monetary award has been made as to liability due to Ecobank. 

Suit No: FHC/L/CS/352/2023 – Anchorage Leisures Ltd & 2 Ors. V. Ecobank Nigeria Ltd is currently pending at the Federal High Court in relation to the obligations of the plaintiffs in the suit to Ecobank, after those entities and Ecobank were unable to reach an amicable resolution. 

Neither Mr Oba Otudeko, nor Honeywell Group Limited were parties to the suit covered by the Supreme Court judgement. There is no judgment against either of them.

As a responsible corporate entity, we are compelled to exercise restraint and refrain from commenting on matters which are subject of pending litigation. We trust the competence and capacity of the court to resolve these issues to finality without any external aid.
